Call for nominations - Open positions at WSNA

The Wyoming School Nurses Association will have two open positions on the Executive Board coming up very soon! The Secretary and President -Elect will need to be elected during the business meeting of our upcoming Fall Conference. More information on these positions can be found under bylaws, although we are in the process of updating all job descriptions. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact myself, Janet Farmer, or Michelle Cordova, President Elect. WSNA members present at the Fall Conference will be voting to fill these very important positions.

My name is Brenna Huckfeldt, I am the nurse for Hot Springs County School District #1. I am in my 3rd year as a school nurse and it is the best job ever! I would love to be considered to be the new WSNA Secretary. The past two years I have been an area representative and have attended meetings with regards to by-laws and other happenings within the WSNA. I helped with bringing the SETT program to the 2018 WSNA State Conference. I am unable to attend the conference this year due to unforeseen circumstances. I would love to be more involved with the WSNA and help build the association because we as school nurses are our only advocates, so we need to have a strong voice.
A little more about me: Like I said before I am in my 3rd year as a school nurse, previously I worked for our local Public Health Department and have worked a our local hospital. I have two wonderful girls grades 1st and 3rd and a husband who is very supportive of my desire to help lead school nurses in the state of Wyoming.
I hope everyone has a wonderful time this coming weekend at the conference. I will be there in spirit!
