Job Role

Responsibilities include providing direct nursing care in line with the healthcare organization's established policies, procedures, and protocols, as well as physician treatment plans and evidence-based practice/care standards.

Tasks include assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care needs, administering prescribed medications, changing dressings, cleaning wounds, and monitoring vital signs.

The role also involves executing physician orders and explaining, educating, and instructing patients and their families on these orders as necessary. This includes monitoring, documenting, and communicating patient conditions as necessary using computerized documentation systems, and coordinating patient discharge planning needs with other healthcare team members.

Required Licensing

• Must possess a current and valid Wyoming RN License or an equivalent compact license.

Necessary Skills

• Present BLS Certification through the American Heart Association, and either
• A current ACLS Certification or one obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer date or by orientation completion, and similarly,
• A current PALS Certification or one obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer date or by orientation completion.

Preferred Work Experience (Not Mandatory)

Preference given to candidates with 2 or more years of Acute Care experience.
